Jörg Krüger

Jörg Krüger is managing partner of AKRA since August 2008 and is responsible for AKRA’s activities in the area Management Consulting.

Jörg Krüger trained as a computer specialist and economist. Before joining AKRA he was member of the management board of the IT-consulting company Dataport, with responsibilites for software development, SAP and sales. Dataport developed from the merger of the Landesamt für Informationstechnik Hamburg and the Datenzentrale für Schleswig-Holstein where Jörg Krüger had been a member of the management board.

Further steps in his career include the position of Managing director of CMG Partner Consult in Hamburg, a software integration company and IT development methodologist at Hapag Lloyd Container Line. At Hapag Lloyd Jörg was in charge of the introduction and support of the software development environment IEF (today CA Gen) and was instrumental in developing the international usergroup and in coordinating conferences.

Jörg started his career as software developer at Deutsche Bank. He continued as one of the founders of a software company belonging to Schleswig-Holstein Sparkassen, where he was responsible for the development of the IT development methodologies department and for the project “short term deposits”.

In addition he worked as teacher at the Sparkassenschule (school for formal training in banking) and since 1995 he lectures at the Fachhochschule Wedel on business process modeling and system development. Jörg has also published several books on IT topics.
